LEGAL CLUB OF AMERICA® BECOMES A PROUD PARTNER OF
THE BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION®
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Sunrise, Florida, October 1, 2009 - Legal Club of America® announces a recently formed partnership and financial commitment to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.
During the term of the relationship, Legal Club will donate a minimum of 2% of all worksite revenue earned to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
In addition, Legal Club will proudly display the BCRF logo on all of its signage, packaging, web sites, press releases, advertising, and promotion materials to help raise awareness for the cause.
Legal Club is no stranger to breast cancer and the hardship it can bring to loved ones at home and in the workplace. Over 20% of the employees currently working at Legal Club are breast cancer survivors. In addition, many staff members have either family or friends that have either lost or continue to care for a loved one with breast cancer. "Anything we can do to find a cure and rid ourselves of the disease is well worth the effort and time." says Dora Zayas, breast cancer survivor and 12-year employee of Legal Club.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® was founded in 1993 by Evelyn Lauder as an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational research. In October 2009, nearly $29 million will be awarded to more than 170 scientists across the United States and Europe and in Australia, Canada, Latin America and the Middle East. BCRF perseveres in directing at least 85 cents of every dollar raised directly to research. And for the eighth consecutive year, BCRF received Charity Navigator's highest rating, four stars, thus outperforming over 99.8% of the 5,400 evaluated charities, while the American Institute of Philanthropy has awarded BCRF its highest possible rating of A+. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization in the U.S. to receive these accolades. For more information, visit www.bcrfcure.org.
Founded in 1994, Legal Club of America® has been providing millions of individuals, and their families, with access to free and discounted legal care through their nationwide network of plan attorneys. In recent years, Legal Club identified the need to provide its members with access to additional professional services to help address issues that generally accompany their legal needs. For that reason they created the Family Protection Plan (FPP), which provides members with access to professionals in the following fields: Identity Theft Services, Tax Advice and Preparation, Financial Education and Credit Counseling as well as LifeEvents™ Counseling.
